Samson MD1 – Mono Passive Direct Box for Instruments & Line-Level Sources

The Samson MD1 is a rugged mono passive DI box designed to convert unbalanced instrument and line-level signals into clean, balanced mic-level outputs for noise-free performance on stage and in the studio. Featuring Samson’s STL transformer, a thru output, and heavy-duty steel construction, the MD1 delivers transparent audio and reliable operation in demanding live and recording environments.

Key Features

  • Passive mono DI: Ideal for guitars, keyboards, drum machines, and line-level devices.
  • STL transformer: Ensures flat, extended frequency response with ultra-low distortion.
  • Thru output: Send the unaltered signal to an amp or monitor while sending the balanced signal to the mixer.
  • Balanced XLR output: Provides noise-resistant signal transmission over long cable runs.
  • Road-ready chassis: 14-gauge steel housing protects internal components for long-term durability.

Customer Benefits

The MD1 provides clean, reliable signal conversion without added coloration, making it easy to integrate instruments into any PA or recording setup. Its transformer isolation improves clarity and reduces noise, while the thru jack maintains your on-stage workflow.
