Marantz MCR 60n + Argon Audio Forus 5 – The Sensible Way Into Marantz

Marantz electronics do not have to mean a rack of separates. The MCR 60n DAB puts CD, phono, streaming, DAB+ and TV audio in one compact box, and the Argon Audio Forus 5 gives it an honest, warm pair of Scandinavian bookshelf speakers at a price that keeps the whole system within reach. It is the set we would suggest to someone buying their first real hi-fi.

In This Setup

  • Marantz MCR 60n DAB – all-in-one with front-loading CD, MM phono stage, HEOS, DAB+ and HDMI eARC, 2 x 65 W into 4 ohms. Matte Black or Marantz Champagne.
  • Argon Audio Forus 5 (pair) – passive bookshelf speakers with 5.25-inch woofer and 1-inch silk dome tweeter, 4 ohm, 86 dB. Black, Walnut or White.
