Kanto Audio TUK Grand – Kanto's Largest Powered Speaker

TUK Grand is the biggest, most ambitious speaker Kanto has built: a 6-inch Aircomb aluminum woofer in an expanded cabinet, bass that reaches down to 40 Hz, and 160 W RMS of Class-D power with DSP behind the same 28 × 35 mm AMT tweeter that defines the TUK family. It is made for the room where a compact bookshelf pair runs out of scale, and it is available at Soundium.

Key Features

  • 6-inch Aircomb aluminum woofer: A larger driver in a larger cabinet gives authoritative low end down to 40 Hz without turning boomy.
  • 28 × 35 mm AMT tweeter: The refined waveguide keeps clarity and imaging steady across a wide seating area.
  • 160 W RMS / 320 W peak Class-D with DSP: Around 30% more RMS power than TUK G2, with precision crossover tuning for control at volume.
  • Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX Adaptive: Low-latency, high-resolution wireless playback from a phone, tablet or digital player.
  • USB-C, optical and dual RCA: 24-bit/96 kHz over USB-C and TOSLINK, plus two RCA inputs for turntables and legacy sources.
  • Selectable 80 Hz subwoofer crossover: Route the lowest octave to a sub so the 6-inch drivers concentrate on midrange precision.
  • Hand-built cabinets, three finishes: High-density acoustic MDF with real walnut veneer or hand-polished lacquer and matching metallic detailing.

Customer Benefits

The point of TUK Grand is scale. A bigger enclosure and re-engineered drivers give the kind of room-filling presence that usually requires floorstanders and an amplifier, but it arrives as two cabinets and a power cable. Because the amplifier, DSP and DAC are inside, the system stays simple: a TV over optical, a laptop over USB-C, a turntable on RCA. For larger living rooms the extra 30 W RMS and the 40 Hz reach mean you are not leaning on a subwoofer to make music sound complete — and if you add one, the 80 Hz filter integrates it cleanly.

Quick Specs

  • Tweeter: 28 mm × 35 mm AMT
  • Woofer: 6-inch aluminum concave cone
  • Amplification: Class-D with DSP, 160 W total RMS / 320 W peak
  • Frequency response: 40 Hz – 22 kHz
  • Inputs: 2 × RCA line-level, 1 × USB-C (24-bit/96 kHz), 1 × optical TOSLINK (24-bit/96 kHz), Bluetooth 5.4 (aptX Adaptive, AAC, SBC)
  • Outputs: Subwoofer out, USB charge 5 V/2 A
  • Crossover filter: Selectable 80 Hz high/low-pass
  • Dimensions (each): 21.8 × 29.5 × 35 cm (W × D × H)
  • Weight: 7.8 kg active, 7.3 kg passive
  • Mounting: 1/4-inch-20 threaded socket on the underside

What's in the Box

  • 2 × TUK Grand speakers (active and passive)
  • Power cord
  • Infrared remote control
  • Speaker wire, 5 m
  • RCA to 3.5 mm cable, 1.8 m
  • 8 × rubber feet
  • User manual

Ideal For

  • Larger living rooms that need scale from a two-box system
  • Serious listening on stands, with no amplifier in the signal chain
  • A single-pair TV, vinyl and streaming setup that has to fill the space

Compatibility

Compatible with: turntables with a built-in phono preamp, TVs and streamers over optical, computers over USB-C, and any Bluetooth 5.4 or older source; Kanto SX stands are sized for TUK Grand and put the AMT tweeter at ear level.

Pros & Cons

✅ Pros:

  • Genuine 40 Hz reach from a two-box active system
  • 160 W RMS with DSP keeps composure at living-room levels
  • Amplifier, DAC and DSP built in — no separates required
  • Hand-built cabinets with real walnut veneer and metallic waveguides

⚠️ Cons:

  • Substantially larger than TUK G2 — a narrow shelf will not take it
  • Only three finishes, against five on the smaller model
  • No phono input — a turntable needs its own preamp

TUK Grand is what happens when a desktop-speaker company builds for the whole room: bigger drivers, deeper bass, the same easy connectivity. Find the Kanto Audio TUK Grand at Soundium.
