Anohni & The Johnsons – My Back Was A Bridge For You To Cross (Black) Vinyl LP

My Back Was A Bridge For You To Cross, released on July 7, 2023 via Secretly Canadian, marks Anohni’s return to working under the Anohni & The Johnsons name. Inspired in part by the sound and spirit of 1970s soul, the album pairs warm, analog-leaning arrangements with Anohni’s powerful vocal performances to address themes of grief, social justice, personal reckoning and collective responsibility. Its intimate production and emotional clarity highlight one of her most moving works in years.
